The sun always returns

I am adding some older blogs from a decade or more ago…WEDNESDAY, JULY 1, 2009

July 2009- we only saw the sun for part of 6 days in June- I discovered I like dreary days

It must be because I prefer the inside to the outside.

I am trying to start my day w/ my quiet time. When I wake up I listen for a song in my heart. Here are the words for today.

It is only Grace- It's Only Love- It's only mercy and believe me, it's enough
your sins are gone-they're washed away- there's nothing left here-there's only Grace

No need for me to try to impress God He has done it all
Jeremiah 9:23-24 —
This is what the Lord says:
"Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom
or the strong man boast of his strength
or the rich man boast of his riches,
but let him who boasts boast about this:
that he understands and knows me,
that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness,
justice and righteousness on earth,
for in these I delight,"
declares the Lord.

How true this is of me- I want to boast about how smart I am, forgetting that any wisdom I may have is God's gift to me...no boasting of my strength though.

I am praying that God will help me pattern exercise into my life.
And I am so thankful for the blessing of neither poverty nor riches, he has blessed with a wonderful life...but no vast riches that we need to care for....

God, you know I want to know you, and be transformed by my understanding of you.
Thank you that you are kind, help me to love justice and righteousness- just as you do...help me stand up for what is right...
