Thoughts are real and they are powerful! Our thoughts actually create proteins in our brain and pathways that lead to our emotions. An unexamined thought can become a feeling like worry, fear, distrust, paranoia that actually moves us away from our purpose or we can choose to think faith filled thoughts which lead to freedom and power.
Yet, many of us struggle to identify the feelings that our minds are experiencing everyday. Not many of us have learned to have control over our emotions by controlling our thoughts.
For the first three decades of my life, I was unable to name my feelings and I lived with out-of-control emotions. I was almost 50 years old before I realized I could control my emotions with my thoughts and a healthy soul.
Through my investment in the Life Coach School, I have learned how to tell a circumstance from a thought. I can do the work to decide what result I want, and craft a plan to think and feel and do the required work to create the result.
It’s possible that you did not grow up understanding the value of feeling your emotions. I know I did not! I was unaware of the unspoken beliefs I had that were driving my actions and keeping me from rest and caring for my soul.
I actually thought I was not supposed to feel things like frustration, and fear. Suppressing some feelings actually kept me from truly feeling things like joy and excitement.
Our life is imagined and created by what we decide to think.
Most thoughts occur suddenly in our mind and when they do, we can be caught off guard; without a plan to respond to them. But we have power over the repetition of our thoughts. We have been given authority over our mind and the thoughts we keep returning to. We may not be able to choose which thought enters our mind the first time, but we can choose the thoughts we think about over and over again. WE can feel our feelings- and take actions that lead to the results we long for.
